CMU - Kraus Campo on top of Posner Center
In 2004 Eisler Nurseries took on the challenge of installing a green roof designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates at CMU's Posner Center. working with Mascaro Construction the general contractor, the green roof was installed over a rare book archive. Intense layout work commenced in order to create naturalistic contours on a flat roof. Grading stakes were used to accurately create the designed contours. Grading quickly became the largest part of the project.

Two art installations were included in the project-the French Curve to honor Posner, and a quote from the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein. Simple mass plantings of barberries, azaleas, boxwood, ilex and ivy create a colorful setting for the art works.
